How to Customize Ubuntu ISO Image

Cubic (Custom Ubuntu ISO Creator) is a graphical user interface Application, which help you to customized Default Ubuntu ISO image.

via Cubic we customise ISO image as per our requirement, let's suppose after installing default ubuntu OS, we need some basic software.

So, we install and configure in every system as same process, So overcome this problem, Cubic Application came into market.

Step 1) Install Cubic On Ubuntu Operating System

To install Cubic on Ubuntu 18.04 and newer versions, run the following commands one by one in your Terminal:

$ sudo apt-add-repository ppa:cubic-wizard/release

$ sudo apt-key adv --keyserver keyserver.ubuntu.com --recv-keys B7579F80E494ED3406A59DF9081525E2B4F1283B

$ sudo apt update

$ sudo apt install cubic


Step 2) customise Default Ubuntu ISO image

Launch Cubic Application. The following screenshot shows the default interface of Cubic application.



Select a project directory to store the customise Ubuntu ISO image and click Next.
Ex:- 
/home/administrator/Documents/Custom-ISO



Here you have to select your Default ISO Image file and Click Next.



Now Cubic will start to locate the compressed Linux filesystem, extract the compressed filesystem and copy the important files from the original ISO image. It will take a couple of minutes.



Now you will be placed inside the Cubic command line virtual environment.

-Here you have to installed packages according your requirement and also you can create and modify files and folder.



and Click Next.

It's Optional just leave and Click Next.
-here all the selected packages will be removed automatically for a typical or minimal install.



Click Next.



Click On Generate.

Now the custom live ISO image creation process will start. It will take a couple of minute. Once the image creation is completed, click Finish button.
