How To Take Backup Of Chrome Browser Bookmarks and passwords

In this tutorial We are going to take backup and restoration process of Bookmarks and passwords.

 

Taking Backup Of Bookmarks

 

Step 1) Launch Chrome browser

Step 2) Click on three dots in right top corner >> Bookmarks >> Bookmark Manager

 

Step 3) Click on three dots in right top corner >> Export Bookmark >> Save

 

 

Taking Backup Of Password 

 

Step 1) Launch Chrome browser

Step 2) Click on three dots in right top corner >> Setting 

 

Step 3) Click on Auto fill >> Password 

 

Step 4) Click on three dots and Export

 

 

Restore Backup Of Bookmarks

 

Step 1) Launch Chrome browser

Step 2) Click on three dots in right top corner >> Bookmarks >> Bookmark Manager

 

Step 3) Click on three dots in right top corner >> Import Bookmarks

 

 

Restore Backup Of Password 

Bydefault Chrome does not allow to import feature, hence firstly we need to enable import feature from Chrome Flags.

 

Step 1) Launch Chrome browser

Step 2) Now, type “chrome://flags” in the address bar and hit Enter.

 

Step 3) Next, type in “password import” into the search bar.

 

Step 4) Then, click the drop-down menu on the left and choose Enabled.

 

Step 5) A Relaunch button will appear in the bottom right corner and click on that.

 

Step 6) Click on three dots in right top corner >> Setting 

 

Step 7) Click on Auto fill >> Password 

 

Step 8) Click on three dots and Import

 END

 

How To Take Backup and Restore Entire Chrome Settings Include Bookmarks, User Profiles Etc.

Note: Show Hidden Files Must Be Enabled.

•  C:\Users\Username\AppData\Local\Google\Chrome\User Data\

Copy "User Data" Directory and Paste it on new system with same location.
