How to install Zoom in Ubuntu Linux

Install Zoom in Ubuntu

Zoom is the Video Communications software, It provides video-telephony and online chat services through a cloud-based peer-to-peer software platform and is used for teleconferencing, telecommuting, distance education, and social relations.


1) Download Zoom for ubuntu, click below link



https://zoom.us/download?os=linux

2) Select Ubuntu and click on Download button.



3) Open terminal and move into Downloads Directory and run below command.

$ sudo dpkg -i zoom_amd64.deb

  • dpkg - is the software at the base of the package management system in the free operating system Debian and its numerous derivatives. dpkg is used to install, remove, and provide information about .deb packages. dpkg itself is a low-level tool.
  • -i  (install the software)




4) check in launcher
